Freeport Self Serve Car Wash

Hands down the worst self-service car wash I’ve ever been to. I’m used to Bay Area self-car washes where I can pay around $5 for 15 minutes, so coming here & paying $4 for only 4 minutes was already a drastic difference — but I was willing to deal with it if everything actually worked. Unfortunately, it didn’t. The credit card readers weren’t working at either the vacuum or self-wash stations. I had a perfectly crisp $10 bill that the machine refused to take, but somehow it had absolutely no problem taking my $20. Make that make sense. Then I had to keep moving from station to station trying to find one that actually worked. One had a quarter literally stuck/blocking the coin slot, so I couldn’t even use it. At that point, I was basically walking around this entire place trying to give them my money & still getting the runaround. 😂 On top of all that, the property itself is dirty & poorly maintained. There were ants, spiderwebs, & I actually saw live spiders around the wash area. For what you’re charging, the very least you can do is keep the equipment working & the property clean. I gave this place multiple chances during the same visit just trying to get my car washed, & eve

Poorly maintained. Had to rewash my car after I had engine degreaser drip on to my roof due to a broken line up above. Not sure why you would put engine degreaser where the spot free wash used to be.

Changing from 1 star to 2 cause I do love this location. Helped wash my dad’s car here when I was a kid… been washing my car here for years. but this new management is dropping the ball, today was literally the 3rd time I’ve come here to wash the car, and the foam brush on has no soap… if you’re going to ask people to pay $4 for a wash, the very least you could do is actually manage your business..

The problem encountered was that they charged $5 to my credit card when the adjacent sign read $4. There was nothing stated on the machine about a "fee" for using the card. Also, I couldn't pay cash because the change machine was not operational.

I actually had a great experience. Everything worked while I was washing my vehicle. Great price point as well. Not crazy busy and noticed there were people that either worked at the carwash or the owners. Friendly people. Looks like there sprucing the place up which is nice. Definitely will use this carwash again when I wash my vehicle again.
